Femininity, Fitness, & Friendship

Do you ever look around you and realize that you’re entering a new chapter of your life?

Your priorities are changing. You want to meet new people. You crave new experiences. Have a new mindset. Feel new emotions. You’re looking for a new direction.

We’re almost 5 months into 2022 and it feels like I’ve changed so much. I’ve always heard from my older peers that once you turn 25, you either become incredibly intentional, or incredibly confused.

25-year-old me has never been so certain about who I am and who I want to be.

I’ve had breakthroughs about love, relationships, vulnerability, and life that allowed me to get to this point. If you relate, I’d love to hear from you.

As a retired girlboss, resting in the flow of my feminine energy has changed my life.

Hustle culture is exhausting, especially for women. There is nothing glamorous about burnout, struggle, or working so hard that it negatively impacts your mental health.

Women are conditioned to act with masculine energy to be taken seriously in the workforce and universities. Don’t get me wrong, masculine energy has its purpose. Everyone has a mixture of both masculine and feminine energy. Women are born with feminine energy, and it is divine and incredibly powerful once it’s fully activated and embraced.

Embracing your feminity takes practice. It takes re-learning. It takes unraveling your trauma and beliefs about how powerful femininity is. Feminine flow is intuitive. Creative. Receptive. Nurturing. Emotional. Submissive. Vulnerable. Feeling.

I choose to live a soft and easy life. A life of leisure and rest. A life that prioritizes my health, relationships, and feminine flow first.

If you’re on your femininity journey now, The Feminine Fancy is one of my favourite creators on this topic. I adore and love learning from extremely feminine women.

How I embrace and tap into my feminine energy:

  • Deep rest and relaxation. I become the most creative when I am fully relaxed and stress-free.
  • Expressing myself & my emotions through creativity.
  • Allowing life to come and go. Being present in the moment.
  • Investing and nourishing my health, mind, body, and soul.
  • Dressing up & looking good!
  • Cooking, gardening, and taking care of my loved ones.
  • Receiving and accepting love.
  • Being around other feminine women that I learn from.
  • Clean, light fragrances. In the Spring & Summer, I wear Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue.
  • Meditation. Getting in tune with my body.

I have a new plan to get back into consistently working out.

10 thousand steps a day challenge baby, let’s go!

Having an Apple watch is life-changing for my fitness goals. My best friend Timmy got me one for my birthday, and I wear mine every day! Having a visual representation of your physical activity, earning rewards, tracking data, and competing gives me a whole new motivation to get moving.

Back to the 10 thousand step challenge – now that the sun is coming out, I’ve been enjoying the fresh air more. Trails, hikes, beaches, lakes, count me in! My daily goal is to get in 10 thousand steps every single day. It’s been so much easier and more enjoyable to achieve, especially being an outdoor lover with the warm weather.

Walking for just 15 minutes every day has incredible benefits:

  • Breaking up insulin build-up in your body
  • Reduces sugar cravings, diabetes, osteoporosis
  • Speeds up digestion
  • Increases muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance
  • Improves your mood
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Boosts immune system

And so much more! I love walking because of how light it is on your body and sustainable it is. When you walk versus run for an hour, you minimize the probability of injury, especially the added pressure on your knees.

A daily 1-hour walk makes a huge difference, and I feel and see the impact already.

I’ve been open to building new long-term intentional friendships, and re-kindling old ones.

I’ve always been a long-term commitment gal. Yes, short-term and temporary experiences serve their purpose, but I’ve just never been a short-term investor.

I invest in my relationships. I’ve always built friendships that last a lifetime. I want to be at my friends’ weddings. Baby showers. Housewarmings. Puppy parties.

Those are the kinds of girlfriends that I’m looking forward to making.

Now that the world is opening up & I’m planning and attending events again, it makes me excited to meet some amazing new people this Summer!

If you plan, host, and love attending events too, let me know! I have a couple of wine events in the making, and I’d love to see you there.

Here’s to entering the next chapter in our lives. Change happens so subtly, but looking back, it happens all at once.

Cheers,
